The Passing of Express Removals Founder Godfrey Cale
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of the founder of Express Removals. Godfrey Cale started the business in 1978 he started with one van and later ran a fleet of vehicles. He ran the company with great success with his Wife and Co-founder Zoe for many years growing the business and increasing staff and covering the whole of the UK.
In 1989 his son Stewart came into the family business and started to also operate internationally. Later his wife Charlotte joined the business and worked alongside her mother in law Zoe the four made a great team until Mr & Mrs Cale senior retired in 2008. 3 years ago Stewart and Charlotte’s son Scott also joined the business. The whole of the team at Express Removals & Storage Ltd is saddened by the loss of Godfrey who many describe as ‘the hardest worker I’ve ever come across’.
Godfrey liked to spend a lot of time travelling in particular to Portugal where he loved nothing more than sightseeing and holidaying with his grandchildren and his family around him. He had a huge sense of humour and earned great respect from all who knew him. Godfrey leaves behind his children Lisa, Stewart, and Sharon their spouses Clive, Charlotte and Chris to whom he treated like his own children and grandchildren Jack Macauley Ciaron Harry Callum Ella Lottie Scott and Jacks’s partner Shannon.
Funeral Arrangements
Godfrey’s funeral will take place at St Swithuns Church, Hempsted & Gloucester Crematorium on the 11th of March 2022 at 10:30 am
